Boxee has released a new public beta and the script links have been updated to take advantage of that. Just re-run the script with the same option you used last time.
If you used latest last time use latest again, if you didn’t you don’t need to add it. As far as the version of boxee is concerned you are always updated to the latest version when you run the script. This is what we’re beta testing after all.
Also, if you experience crashs or problems you should collect your debug logs and post them on the forums.

Do you need to run the “bleeding baby” script again after updating Boxee version? Thx
Thanks for the update. I’ve noticed an improvement in the video. Better but still choppy.
Big improvement though. Many thanks
Boxee just updated the Beta to 0.9.20.10634
Please update the script accrodingly.
We can’t update the script until the version shows up on the public web. You can’t download this by visiting dl.boxee.tv/boxee-0.9.20.10634.dmg yet. When a normal boxee users logs in and sees a new version in their download page we are able to update our link. You’re likely in the early release group.
Keith,
Any chance you could update the script to allow it to check a directory on the ATV and use the boxee dmg in there for the install? This would allow early release people to FTP the file to this folder and have it install.
Thanks,
Shane.
Shane i’ll do that tomorrow. I think there is a script snippet on the forum for that purpose.
okay, I’ve changed the script to look in “/Users/frontrow/” for a boxee-*.dmg file, if found it skips the download action and uses the local dmg instead. If there is a newer version and you still have the old dmg sitting there this will stop you from upgrading. Though the reverse is true, if you have a newer version then what’s online this will stop you from downloading an older version.
Has the script been updated with the new 0.9.20.10708 version? If it has, do I re-run the script or do I have to download a newer version? Thanks for the great work.
First, thx for the great scripts.
Boxee just released version 0.9.20.10708. will you update the scripts for these fixes?
Cheers Chris
1. You can download and place the new version in /Users/frontrow and the script will detect and use it.
2. the link has been updated to the new boxee, you can run the script as normal.
Keith,
Thanks for the update as I requested – works a treat!
Regards,
Shane.
Thank Keith!!!!!!!
Will the script now install Flash 10.1 beta 3?
It will now, run it again use the latest option and it should auto update itself and then update your flash. Let me know if you have issues.
Thanks for the fast update. After rerunning the script, are we supposed to do the NitoTV update/install again?
Looks lie the script pulled down the latest Boxee, but didn’t show a download of Flash.
-bash-2.05b$ sudo sh BoxeeBetaInstallScript.sh latest

Installing Boxee
… but with no corresponding entry for Flash
Adobe changed the package around entirely, i updated teh link in the script yesterday but just did the upgrade today and noticed the package was completely different. The script has been updated and will apply the beta flash properly.
Cool – working now!
Do I need to Nitotv — Settings — Install Software — Smart installer after upgrading if I did so originally?
You really shouldn’t have to. Once the smart installer has grabbed the files flash needs their there on the system.
